Don Fleming, Elvis Costello, and Emmylou Harris stopped by The Colbert Report last week to talk about Alan Lomax and American folk music. The three and Colbert also performed “Good Old Mountain Dew” and “Goodnight, Irene.” Highly recommended.

This is the funniest segment I’ve seen on The Colbert Report in a long time. The rapid-fire jokes during the etiquette part at the end was like something out of an old comedy routine or cartoon. I was crying laughing by the time it finished.

Definitely worth sitting through Comedy Central’s web video cruft to watch.
